Please take a few moments to read these two very important Safety Alerts about the Smoke, CO & Propane detectors in your RV

Carbon Monoxide & Propane Gas Detectors

Replace all CO and Propane Detectors if:

  • Your RV is over 5 years old and it has the original CO or Propane alarm / detector.
    Check the production date, it may be on the back of the product
  • The production date code is missing
  • The detector has passed it's service life
  • Anytime the alarms fails to test properly regardless of its age

Some CO alarms or their replaceable CO sensors may have a shorter service life. Check the manufacturers owner's manual for replacement information.

Important! Only install CO and Propane alarms that are UL listed for Recreational Vehicle Use.

Smoke Alarms

Update to Current Technologies and Revised UL and CSA Operational Requirements

Smoke Alarms have a maximum recomended service life of 10 years.Replace the Smoke Alarm if:

  • Your RV is over 10 years old and it has the original smoke alarm / detector.
    Check the production date or replace date on the back of the alarm
  • The production or replace date code is missing
  • The detector has passed it's service life
  • Anytime the alarms fails to test properly regardless of its age

Important! Only install Smoke Alarms that are UL listed for Recreational Vehicle Use.
